The CIO Strategy Council’s Standards Policy Committee is presently considering the following proposals received from stakeholders:
- A potential new project on developing a standard on testing and proving grounds for autonomous vehicles.
- To develop a series of standards for the discovery and management of digital twins for built environments.
- To coordinate the development of cybersecurity standards for critical infrastructure, with an initial scope to cover the conformity assessment of Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) devices used in the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity – all in recognition that all the other critical infrastructure sectors depend on electricity. The project is funded through the Cybersecurity and Critical Energy Infrastructure Program.
- To develop a privacy enhancing data de-identification framework for identifying and mitigating the likelihood that an individual is identified directly or indirectly from data, and risks associated with the lifecycle of de-identified data.
Please contact us if you are interested in sharing feedback on any of the potential new projects, proposing any new standards or getting involved in our ongoing work.
